This week, we are proud to celebrate National Nurses Week by recognizing one of the compassionate caregivers who helps make our community so special: Sarah Stevenson, Director of Wellness.
With more than 20 years of nursing experience, Sarah brings not only clinical knowledge and leadership to her role, but also a deep commitment to advocacy, dignity, and meaningful connection. Her approach to care is guided by a simple but powerful belief: every person deserves to feel valued, respected, and truly seen — especially in their later years.
For Sarah, caring for seniors is more than a profession. It is her passion, her purpose, and a privilege she honors every day.
As Director of Wellness, Sarah helps ensure residents receive quality care delivered with warmth, attentiveness, and heart. Her work reflects the values we strive to live by every day: dignity, comfort, joy, and resident-focused care.
A Colorado native, Sarah is inspired by the mountains, fresh air, and sunny days that make our state so special. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family, her three cats, and her dog. She is also an avid baker, creating everything from simple cookies to elaborate cakes and French macarons — another way she brings comfort and happiness to others.
And when hockey season arrives, you can count on Sarah to be cheering on the Colorado Avalanche with full enthusiasm!
During National Nurses Week, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Sarah and to nurses everywhere. Your compassion, skill, advocacy, and dedication make an extraordinary difference in the lives of residents, families, and communities.
Thank you, Sarah, for the care, kindness, and purpose you bring to our community every day.
